June 20, 2023

It's dark and cloudy this morning...rain forecast for later.

How was your weekend?  I hope it was great and that you celebrated Juneteenth as well as Father's Day.

We discovered a great Mexican Restaurant (in Cornwall, NY),  barbecued on Sunday, enjoyed visiting family and had great weather.  Couldn't ask for more!

And today I need to get a lot of things done as I leave for the west in six days!

I finished remaking all the men's shirts I purchased at Goodwill into short sleeves, elastic waist shirts for me to wear.

I also redid the pair of men's cargo shorts.  This was a bit harder as I had to remove a broken zipper and the waist band.  Guess all the sewing I did when younger really came in handy.

A friend asked why I don't just purchase new clothes for myself.  Well, I didn't have to think long about it...I don't really care for most of the clothing for sale for women.

I also don't think women's clothing are made anywhere as well as men's.  I guess that's because more women than men purchase clothing more often.  I really think that manufacturer's make women's clothes with planned obsolescence and therefore save money by cutting corners.  If you take apart men's clothing and compare with women's clothing, it's easy to see which is made better.

There's a new weekly question posted as well as a new daily thought.  Check them out.

That's if for today...

Talk with you tomorrow...
