July 6, 2023 FABRIC SCRAPS

I love these little red trumpet wild flowers.  I have been trying to find out what they are without success.  I saw them on one of site seeing trips either in Utah or Colorado.

The Fourth of July was the hottest day in the world.  It broke the record which was set on the Third of July.  Not a great omen for our future.

And have you seen or are you experiencing the hot, humid days, or the wild winds, or the heavy rains?  Our weather sure is bonkers, but with global warming, I guess we can only blame ourselves!

One of the drives we went on was the Red Cloud Loop and the trees were so thick that it was hard to see far into the forest.  We were either driving on the ridge or down in the valley all on dirt roads.

It also rained while we were on the Loop and parts of the dirt road became deep mud.  Fortunately, we were able to drive through but only after putting the truck into a different mode.

I brought along some fabric scraps to play with while on vacation, as well as some fabric canvas.  Here are two scrap fabric creations.  They are covered with net and I did use small amounts of stick glue to keep the fabric pieces in place until I can quilt them...

They are fun to make and a great way to use up those tiny pieces of fabric scraps.

That's all for today...

Talk with you tomorrow...
