August 1, 2023

Another cool day!  I actually finished cleaning up the patio yesterday.  It was a pleasure to sit outside last night and enjoy nature.

I checked out Duchess and it looks like there was no damage due to all the rain.  I do need to finish cleaning and organizing the trailer.  I am thinking of selling it and look for something like a small truck camper.

So today is the first day of the (popularly accepted) last month of summer.  Have any plans?  Getting ready for the upcoming school year?  Squeezing in a well-deserved vacation?

I'm looking at one and two day trips in the local area...read that the Northeast.  For the one day trips, fishing and hiking will be the focus.  For the two day trips places and events will be the focus.

For instance, I have always wanted to drive up Mount Washington.  After driving up Pike's Peak, I know it will not be as scary but still, the views would be spectacular.

Plimoth Patuxet Museum, Old Sturbridge Village Museum and Mystic Seaport Museum are three places that would be nice to see again.

Brown's Wharf at Newport, Connecticut, The Freedom Trail in Boston, Massachusetts and the House of Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts are also on my go-to list to see one more time as is Cape Cod.

Actually, it looks like I have been to many places in the Northeast but I still love the area.  Driving through small villages, enjoying the scenic highways, tasting local foods and checking out the antique stores (just looking...well, for the most part!) is my idea of a perfect way to spend time and enjoy life.

What are your go-to ideas for a wonderful time?  During the last month of summer be sure to spend some time doing those things you enjoy doing, visiting areas you love to visit and exploring new places.  Don't just sit and do nothing...get up and go.

That's all for today...

Talk with you tomorrow...
