So, yesterday I said I would share the small journals today. There are lots of pictures.
First of all, I had hoped to use a plain small folder type journal with three sheets of paper. Well, it didn't work...way too thick. I could only include one sheet (four pages). I did use the sewing machine to sew in the single sheet. I still want to add some paper to the pockets on the cover/folder. Here are the picture for the small journal...
What to do with the rest of the sheets. I decided to make a large small journal. I attached each sheet (four pages) to the spine of the journal, but I used an extra spine shown below to which I attached the sheets and then glued into the journal spine. I had a tiny hole punch and punched the holes for hand sewing the sheets onto the spine. This picture has one sheet attached.
The photo below has all the sheets attached and shown from the other side. You can see the hand stitching...
I shaped this journal like a box with an narrow overlapping section secured with six tiny velcro dots as well as a belt that was secured as shown...
