Well, I thought winter had finally come...it is the first day of winter today...until I looked at the ten day forecast and saw lots of high 40's and 50's. Guess not...
Yesterday I made three batches of cookies and they all turned out. ...that's me sighing with relief.
Today is a day to get the house ready. Probably mostly the kitchen. The refrigerator needs to be cleared out so there's room for all the cooking that needs to be done. I am also thinking of bringing up the holiday dishes. That might be a good thing because we are using leftover dishes right now and there are very few of them.
Another kid friendly holiday decoration to make is paper chains to use on the tree or maybe a stairway railing. It's a tried and true old-fashioned type decoration. All you need is some colorful construction (or other colorful paper), a stapler or cellophane tape and a scissors. Cut paper strips. I used one inch by five inches but you can decided on the size. Staple or tape the strips into interwoven circles. Hang the chain! Check out the pictures...
Remembering the frustration using a stapler unless it is a tiny one, tape is probably a better choice.
Five days to go...do you know where your plans and presents are?
That's it for today...talk with you tomorrow...
