December 22, 2023

I love this David Shore Santa Clause.  The two feet high statue is more of a subtle pastel image.  Not what most folks would expect for Christmas decorations.

I did manage to find and bring up the Holiday dishes to use.  The box was heavy but using the steps as a lever, I was able to get them up, unpacked, washed and in place in the cupboard!

I also reorganized the kitchen getting ready for cooking for the holidays.  It looks like we will have family over on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Busy, but with most of the things done and a great plan in place, it will work out fine.

Speaking of which, how are your plans coming along?  Still need to shop for presents?  If so, it might be time to panic...there's only a few days left!

Today is fruitcake cupcake day.  I will be baking a double batch of these as they go very fast.  I also want to finish any last minute cleaning!  Should be a busy but fun day.

I have been crocheting but this time angels instead of stars.  I have only crocheted two so they are not the greatest but my stars weren't that great at the beginning either.  Check these out...

I found the patterns on YouTube.  Simply search for easy crochet angels and you will find lots of patterns.  These are small - four inches by two and one-half inches - so they only took a few minutes.  I think I will look for a bit larger ones to try next.

And I know that this may be something you can't deal with right now but perhaps you will have time after Christmas...

No, I am not suggesting that you plan out next year.  What I am suggesting is that you think about the goals you would to pursue next year.  If anything stands out, jot it down to think about later.  2024 will be here before you know it, so if you are a goal oriented person, thinking about the goals might be a good thing.

I hope all of you have a great time celebrating the holidays with family and friends.  I won't be posting next week...at least I am not planning to...so take care, enjoy and see you in the New Year.
