December 4, 2023

Wow!  It is December and the slide to the holidays has begun in earnest.  How are you doing?

I have to say that all my packages to family and friends are mailed.  It was nice to go to the post office and not wait in line.  I was also able to mail the cheapest way because I was so early.

And I have finished purchasing or making the presents for all my local family.  Can't believe that I am so far ahead with that.

I have removed the fall decorations but have yet to start decorating for Christmas.  That will be the focus this week.  Next week will be baking!

So you are probably wondering why I wasn't posting on my blog last week.  It turns out that I needed some dental surgery and that took a lot out of me.  It also happened fast which was a surprise.  I needed to have a front tooth removed and to begin the implant process.  And because it was fast, there was no time to make what is called a 'flipper' which is a cosmetic tooth.  So I will have a missing front tooth for a couple months until everything has fully recovered.  Reminds me of the song 'All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth...!'

I look forward to getting back to posting regularly and sharing my crafts with everyone, beginning today.  There are no pictures of crafts today but stay tuned, I have much to share.

And as this is the beginning of the last month of the year, it might be a good time to take a look again at those goals you set last January to see how you did.  On the whole, I think I did fairly well on all but one area.  So how did you do?

You might also want to make some notes on goals that you may want to set for next year.  We'll spend more time in January on that but if something occurs to you, jot it down for later.

There's a new word for the month, a new question for the week and a new thought for the day.  Check them out and use the web version if you are on a smartphone.

Talk with you tomorrow...
