I managed to plant more seedlings and seeds, moving dirt and hay to the garden area which is fenced in.
I love my garden stool which can be turned over to use as a kneeler when working in the dirt.
We are having a slug problem so I used an old trick that I used many years ago. I took several pieces of aluminum foil about five inches wide, crumpled them up slightly and connected the edges to make a circle, then placed the circles around all the plants that the slugs enjoyed munching on.
Looking early this morning, there was only one slug and it was on a plant that was not completely surrounded by the foil. Guess that will be on tomorrow's garden to-do list.
This is a hooked rug that was in one of my grandmother's home. I remember it being there and I think it was at one time on the piano bench but I may be wrong.Funny thing, though, I don't remember her every making a hooked rug. She sewed a lot of things from quilts to slippers. She was also a great crocheter but I don't remember her hooking rugs.
At any rate, it is beautiful and I use it on my footstool.
Thirteen days until I leave for the west. SnowWhite still needs an oil change and two new tires. I did get her ac charged last week.
Right now, my son is using her to commute to work as his car is in the shop getting some maintenance done before I leave so he won't have to figure out how to get to work if his car needs work.
The information on the sidebars is new, so check it out. If you are using a smart phone, use the web version of my blog to see all the sidebar information. Still working on a way to keep the sidebar information from day to day.
