I got almost everything on my to-do list done yesterday but not quite all. I have some things to put away upstairs and some things to sort in the guest/storage room as well as wrap some more gifts.
But the big thing today is that the chimney sweep is going to be here to clean and look over our two chimneys around noon!
I'm also making dinner...right now I am thinking about making scalloped potatoes, corn pudding and meatloaf. An easy oven meal. Those items along with a salad and maybe some dessert but to be honest, we are not big on desserts.
Remember last year's card?
I have been playing around with another 3-d card of sorts. I was thinking of trees in a forest along with a snowman and maybe an animal like a rabbit or a deer. Here's what I have so far...
The trees hold the back up. The empty space is where I want to put the snowman and an animal. This is the first sample to see if I could make what I imagine. And, of course, there needs to be snow on the trees, on the ground and in the background. For now, I realize that I can stand the card up with the trees. Stay tuned to see where it goes from here.
Listening to the morning news, it seems like the political watchword is 'change'. Seems like everyone, everywhere is not exactly happy about their situation, especially the high prices of everyday items and that feeling is included here even though we have it better than most countries. What happens if the prices don't go down or even go higher? More change? That's what the analysts think! Going to be interesting to say the least!
