Another cold day but it is sunny outside.  We were finally able to find some deicer to use on the steps.  It worked yesterday even in the cold, cloudy day so walking on the sidewalk is not quite as bad.

I actually found something to discard outside on what I would consider a deck area...a broken pot.  Believe me, it didn't take me long to find it, discard it and get back in the house!  Today's declutter will be easy for me...how about you?

I didn't finish the journal yesterday but I did get both a writing pad made and closure made...

The writing pad will be attached to the inside front cover of the journal.  The closure will be attached to the journal on the back cover with brads.  I will either attach a large button to the front of the closure, add some decorative string/yarn to wind around and catch on the button; or, I will add some velcro on the back of the closure and on the front of the journal.  Not sure which yet.

Yesterday, when we were talking about our life's dreams, I mentioned that I loved to craft, quilt and write.  But I got to thinking last night...were these truly my life's dream(s).  What I realized is that one of my dreams was to make a difference and be happy while doing it.  I also wanted not to be one of those old folks with nothing to do.  I finally decided that crafting, quilting and writing were a means to accomplish what I really dreamed about...making a difference, being happy and staying busy.  Isn't it interesting how simple our dreams about our life can be and yet how many possibilities of fulfilling those dreams is available.  

How about you?  Have you decided what you want your life to be about?  Might be a good time to take some time to think about it...
