Did you know that the time between Christmas and New Year's is called 'twixmas'? Quite frankly, I don't ever remember that phrase but apparently it's been around for a long time!
So how do you spend this time? I guess it depends on what's going on in your life...some of you may have to go to work, some of you may be home with children who are on vacation and some of you may be retired and are simply at home.
I have always enjoyed this time between Christmas and New Year's. Basically, for me it's always been a time to rest, relax and recuperate from all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. It's a time to simply enjoy all the decorations without anticipation, savor the last of the cookies and other baked goods, put together puzzles and, of course, watch football
I used to read lots of magazines, especially the January issues but no more. As a matter of fact, I loved getting magazines for Christmas presents. But the current state of magazines is not the same as in the past when they contained lots of ideas for the coming year, new things to try, new ways to look at things, new books to read, etc.
If you're wondering what to do during this time, I hope you will just take it easy. Have a pajama day when everyone stays in their pj's all day, lounging around and enjoying an unscheduled day. Maybe catch up on some holiday movies you didn't have an opportunity to watch, or play games! Binge-watch a favorite show or read a book! Try a new craft or start a new craft project with a favorite craft!
In other words, take this time to just be, to just enjoy life and to take care of yourself including lots of you time.
That's all for now...
Talk with you later...
