I hope all of you are enjoying the Inaugural Celebration today. I began watching from the second swearing in (Yes, both the President and Vice President were officially sworn in yesterday as required by law.), including the President's speech, prayers and beautiful music. And then the luncheon and now the parade. It is amazing, considering the turmoil in other countries, how we can change or continue leadership so seamlessly and without rancor. Makes one proud to be an American.
I did manage a bit of artistic endeavors this weekend. First I got out my acrylics and painted a background...
My intention is to paint some stylistic flowers on this background, Normally, I would be far more controlled in my painting, but I had just finished reading a blog about free expression in painting so I decided to just do, without thinking (In other words, coloring outside the lines!) and this is what evolved. I like it.
I had some acrylics left over so I painted the background for last week's journal prompt.
And here is the page with more additions. I'm not done yet, but it's getting there...
I do note a 'flower' theme. Interesting. Blooming! Budding!
This week, it's time to take a look at that list of things you want to do this year, the list which we began last week. If you haven't made a list yet, take some time and jot down those ideas. Mine turned out to be quite long...I dream big!!! But I know I can't possibly do justice to all the items on my list.
So over the next couple of days look at your list and think about those ideas.
Which ones really speak to you? Things that you really want to do.
Which ones are there because they are beneficial for you? Your health, or your finances.
Which ones surprised you when you reread them? Why?
Is there something that they may be suggesting...
Something that you have perhaps forgotten about...
Something that at one time you dreamed about but then put aside...
Thanks for checking things out...
There's a new journal prompt...
Enjoy your evening...
