It's Monday, so that means that there is a new journal prompt: Celebrating Change.
Change is living. That does not mean that it is always
comfortable, easy or welcomed. As a matter of fact, many of us are
dragged kicking and screaming – at least on the inside – through
changes that we do not want to make.
So why should we celebrate? Well, change means
that our lives are not stagnant...that we are presented with challenges. And how we handle those challenges can give us opportunities for growth. We may not always see that in the midst of change, but looking back we can see how change affected our lives.
So yes, I think that celebrating change is a good thing to do...
I have been wondering how to keep my journal pages. This weekend I decided to put them in a book that I can easily add journal pages too. Using thick, heavy cardboard, I created a collage cover with different papers using ModPodge. I cut the edge pieces large enough to cover the edge and glue unto the back of the cover.
When it was dry, I added titles and comments using a black permanent marker. It felt a little too harsh for me, so I covered the entire front with two layers of tissue paper that had gold flecks on it.
This is what it looks like...
There are five holes on the side which need to to have a grommet added and then rings that can be opened and closed easily to add pages.
On the backside of the cover, I glued a piece of thick drawing paper cut to size, leaving 1/4 inch border to show off the collage paper. On this I are writing a list of the weekly prompts. Back cover next...
By the way, here's another in my Egg Doodle Series...
Thanks for visiting...
Enjoy yourself...
See you tomorrow...
