RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY. COME AGAIN SOME OTHER DAY, PLEASE!!!

Rain, that's what's happening. Bad storms came through last night...lots more rain. This morning I took some pictures as I walked down to the water before the next set of storms. These were taken this morning although the pictures look like it was evening. Believe me, it was that dark...

I had to take a picture of the couple of dandelions that were blossoming...

It's been raining for several hours now. Sometimes very hard, sometimes a light rain. Campsite looks like it has a waterway between sites, not roads. But the water will drain away fast.

Tomorrow, I will be driving to Williamsburg, VA. Hopefully not in the rain, but with my luck, I'm not so sure...

CRAFTING IDEAS

I always have scrap fabric around so these fabric flowers are one way to use up the scraps. Cut out five each of two size circles. For each size, fold the circles in half, wrong sides together, and with needle and with long, strong thread hand stitch around the cut edge. Add each folded circle onto the same thread. When all are on, gather as tight as possible and take several stitches to secure. You can fold the edges inward or outward. (Outward is shown.). Place the smaller gathered circle on top of the larger one and stitch to secure. Add the sequin and bead to finish. You can also hot glue the pieces together. Easy and fast.

MAGAZINE IDEAS

(New) One article in the Farmer's Almanac 2024 is a list of trends. One I knew about is the trend to downsize in just about every area. Another trend that I was surprised about was called ''The Human Library' which offers people on loan to talk about specific subjects. Finally, more folks are adding pets to their family and as a result, stores are adding more pet food, toys and medication to their offerings. There's also a nice garden article which suggests mixing vegetables and flowers together for success.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Spring is a great time to not only review your annual goals, but to establish some new goals particular to spring. So, do you have any? There are a variety of types of goals from things to do in the yard, to specific vacation plans, to making sure to spend time with your family outside everyday, to...well, you name it. The goals or ideas are only limited to what you want to do. When you think about your spring goals be sure to have a variety including both 'want to do' and 'have to do'...from enjoying a picnic to mowing the lawn.
